At the end of the course, the students will have had the opportunity to gain the following:
1. Knowledge
- An understanding of the background of the emergence of new forms of governance applied at the landscape scale.
- An understanding of central components of new forms governance and the institutional framework needed for its application.
- An understanding of how to analyze new governance activities in the different landscapes of Europe.
2. Skills
- Apply theories, key concepts and tools addressed during this course to own specific landscape research problem(s).
3. Competencies
- Incorporate insights gained from the diverse disciplines and presented case studies into own research in order to support and enhance the thesis’ arguments.
- Communicate ideas, rationale for, and relevancy of theoretical concepts on cultural landscape governance in the context of the thesis.
- Hold a critical view on own research and applied theories and methods.
