To all members of IALE-Europe
You were invited to participate in the elections of a new Executive Committee (EC) of IALE‐Europe and a new Representative of IALE-Europe. As always, it is of utmost importance that members express their vote as active members of our association.
The call for candidate lists for the IALE-Europe Executive Committee and for the nomination of a representative for IALE-Europe in the IALE-Council was sent out in June 2025, three months before the scheduled General Assembly, at which the elections would take place (Tuesday 2 September 2025, during the European Landscape Ecology Congress in Bratislava).
On the deadline of 2 September 2025, the Nominating Committee received the intention of one candidate list for the EC and one nomination as representative for the IALE-Council. Hence, the meeting of the General Assembly of IALE-Europe on 2 September 2025 decided to organise the elections for a new Executive Committee (EC) and Representative for the IALE Council online from the end of September to mid-October 2025. This would enable the candidates to finalise the list and design the action plan 2025-2029.
On 25 September 2025, the Chair of the Nominating Committee received one list for the Executive Committee and one nomination for the IALE Council Representative. This list secures continuity with the precedent Executive Committee, continuing the consistent and constructive work done so far, while also integrating new members and, therefore, renewed energy and ideas to fulfil the mission and the goals of IALE-Europe. As we, the Nomination Committee, received only this one list for a new EC and one nomination for the representative, all members were asked to vote whether to agree/disagree/abstain with the proposed list and representative. This election took place from 6 October until 13 October 2025. There were 345 members in good standing invited to the election.
